Card tricks are one of the first that people expect a Magician to perform. Most need hours of practice to perfect!

The first technique to learn is how to palm a card naturally. This sleight of hand is an important feature of card tricks as it allows you to move a card, unseen, from one place to another. This has been sited as a reason why there are so few lady magicians,  but the reason is not valid as bridge cards are  slightly smaller so would suit both women and child performers.

As you can see; if this hand is turned palm down, the card would be completely hidden.
